Reclaim your feminine power
Feminine trauma is far too prevalent in our society
and most of us are not educated on how to heal from it
THIS IS WHERE WE DEMAND TO SEE CHANGE
As women who have experienced various forms of sexual and feminine trauma, we know that suppressed trauma resurfaces later in life as unhealthy coping mechanisms, anxiety, depression, or codependent and insecure relationship patterns.
WHAT IS CONSIDERED FEMININE TRAUMA?
There are many experiences women endure that can classify as feminine trauma:
Sexual abuse such as physical and verbal harassment, slut shaming, body shaming, rape, sexual violence and unwanted or coerced sexual contact
Physical abuse such as hitting, punching, coercing of substance abuse, negligence, and abandonment
Emotional abuse such as verbal threats and put-downs, humiliation, degradation, ignoring, exploiting and control
Mental abuse such as manipulation, gaslighting, bullying, verbal insults, silencing of one's voice, and disregard for one's feelings and emotions
HOW CAN TRAUMA MANIFEST?
Unhealed trauma can result in various physical and emotional symptoms:
Toxic relationship patterns
Addictions to alcohol and/or substances
Low self-worth or negative body image
Anxiety and/or depression
Dissociation or disconnection from others
Disordered eating habits
Feelings of guilt, shame, or embarrassment
Self-harming behaviours or suicidal thoughts
Difficulty expressing sexuality and/or being intimate
